Phillip & Diane Marshall
Missions Personnel Code: "PDM"
Involvement: Leadership
Organization: SIM International
Serving: Globally
Phillip & Diane have been members of SIM since 1986 when they went with 3 young children to Peru, South America. After initially working in strengthening leadership in local churches high up in the Andes, they were both asked to take on country then regional (several countries) leadership. From 2000-2011, Diane acted as Global Director for SIM’s HIV & AIDS ministries, focussed on sub-Saharan Africa. Phillip was part of this ministry initially, until moving in 2004 to teach Old Testament and Missions at Morling Theological College in Sydney.
In 2011 Phillip and Diane moved to Singapore for Diane’s new role as SIM Director for Asia-Pacific. With a strong commitment to the local church and having a local presence, they quickly became part of Bartley and joined the CG of Dr. Ko Soo Meng, now led by Dr. Lye Sue Kheong, as well as the missions programme at Bartley. Phillip acted as Missiologist for SIM internationally, as well as teaching at Singapore Bible College and Trinity Theological College.
In 2018 Diane assumed the role of Global Director for Regional Development, responsible to the International Director for SIM’s newly created 10 regions. With their leader development role, they practice hands-on leader training by traveling half the year to be with SIM’s leaders.
In mid-2019 they sadly made the decision to shift their base to Australia, given that Phillip’s parents are aging and their 7 grandchildren need their influence. They continue to support Bartley’s missions emphasis and to attend whenever passing through Singapore.
