Call to Action & Prayer for Myanmar
On Friday, 28 March, a powerful earthquake of 7.7 in magnitude struck Myanmar, causing immense devastation. Mission partners on the ground described the chaos — how the earth shook violently, then split open, swallowing everything in its path. An eyewitness shared how a seven-story building collapsed into itself, leaving only four stories visible as the lower three floors were buried.
Bartley’s own accountant, Pauline, who is from Myanmar, immediately called home upon hearing the news. By God’s grace, her parents are safe. However, she has yet to receive any news about her grandmother.
Many of Pauline’s friends—fellow Myanmar nationals living abroad—have lost loved ones. Some called home, only to hear the voices of their family members trapped under rubble. For some, it was their final farewell.
Myanmar is grieving. Suppressed by years of political unrest, and now, this series of natural disasters.
